Catalytic Activity:
L-leucine + 2-oxoglutarate = 4-methyl-2-oxopentanoate + L-glutamate.; L-isoleucine + 2-oxoglutarate = (S)-3-methyl-2-oxopentanoate + L-glutamate.; L-valine + 2-oxoglutarate = 3-methyl-2-oxobutanoate + L-glutamate.
